Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 17, 2026

Growstones ("the App", "we", "us") is a personal trading capital and payout planning app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what data the App handles and, just as importantly, what it does not.

No account, no personal data collected

The App does not require you to create an account, and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information to be used. There is nothing in the App for us to collect that identifies you.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter into the App — account balances, trading journal entries, milestones, notes, calculator inputs — is stored on your device. We never receive, store, or have access to this data on our own servers. You can export a full copy of an account's data as a file at any time from Account → Your data.

On iOS, if you have iCloud enabled, this data is synced through your own personal iCloud account so it is available across your own devices. This sync is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy (see apple.com/legal/privacy).

On Android, the data stays on your phone and is not synced between your devices. If you have Android device backup switched on, Android may include the App's data in the backup stored in your own Google account, handled by Google under Google's own privacy policy (see policies.google.com/privacy). You can switch that backup off in your phone's system settings.

What the App does send to our server

The App periodically requests public market reference data from our server — currency exchange rates (e.g. "1 USD in PLN") and, where applicable, reference instrument quotes — so it can show you up-to-date figures. These requests:

  • contain no personal information and no identifier tied to you or your device beyond a single shared key common to every install of the App (used only to confirm the request comes from the App itself, not to distinguish one user from another);
  • are not linked to, or stored alongside, any of your financial or journal data — because that data never reaches our server in the first place.

The exchange-rate data itself originates from Frankfurter, which republishes reference rates published by central banks (primarily the European Central Bank). Frankfurter receives no information about you from us.

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking

The App contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
